Bethany Kendall
President & CEO
Bethany Kendall was most recently Executive Director of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship (ASF) where she managed all international and U.S. activities. Previously, she was President of the Ad Club, the largest advertising and marketing communications trade organization in the country. Prior to her tenure at the Ad Club, she was President of the Downtown Crossing Association. She began her career with Beth Israel Hospital as Director of Volunteer Services, receiving recognition for her skills in managing 250 volunteers in direct patient care, administration and research. She is the board president of The Alliance of Women’s Business and Professional Organizations, and she also serves on the Executive Advisory Board of Bay Cove Human Services and on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health. Bethany holds a master’s degree from Boston University’s College of Communications and is a graduate of Simmons College.

Lisa Cawley
Vice President
Lisa Cawley brings to ESC an extensive background in nonprofit management, management consulting and law. Before coming to ESC, Lisa was a partner in a small consulting firm in Lexington, KY, specializing in process improvement and organizational development within the healthcare industry, and nonprofit management. While in Lexington, she also started and managed a small nonprofit organization dedicated to providing life skills, education, and housing assistance support to low income adults. She is currently a volunteer with the Crittenton Womens Union “Woman to Woman” program and BostonCares.org volunteer. Lisa holds a JD degree with a emphasis in environmental law from the University of San Diego School of Law and a bachelors degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
